Bring out your weird
Weird people are attracted to me..
I know it sounds funny.. but people will literally come up to me and say things like, "So I have Gout.. do you know any books I could find to help me with that?" Usually I look around, and make sure that they are not talking to the actual employee of the store behind me. (Hint.. they are not!) and then I think about it for a second, and spend the next half hour with the woman, looking at medical books until she finds the right one and I collect my commission. Well, the commission part never happens. I am not sure if they smell it on me, or maybe my aura reads "has spare time and a tender heart". No matter what, I enjoy helping people and have way more patience with the weirdos than most, someone has to right?
Speaking of weird, one time I was at a soccer tournament and an older french woman approached me and literally said, "I see you have a camera, let me tell you my story". We will call her Genevieve
Apparently, while visiting her homeland, the year before, she met the man of her dreams at a bar. They had a magical night and she later lost his number. She asked me to take a beautiful picture of her, and to please photoshop out the sweat as she had just been running the track, and the chin hairs. She wanted to blow them up poster size with her info and have them put up all over town. Also that I needed to hurry because her current boyfriend was in the bathroom.
I can't make this stuff up people! Out of the hundreds of people there, and many with cameras.. she picked me. I am the chosen one. ha ha. So I rushed her over to the nearest pretty backdrop and took a few pictures. I photoshopped them and sent them off. I never heard a word from Genevieve, but I imagine her and Rupert are married in the South of France now, two soul-mates brought together by my lens..
(all names have been imagined..because, well, she didn't have enough time to tell me all of this with the impending boyfriend almost done with his business)
